Design Philosophy
Blue Ice's most important feature is the design. Blue Ice has been designed to be small, reliable, and quick. It is designed to be fast not only in terms of execution time, but in terms of getting around the program. The software has many little ways to cut corners and get things done faster. Ergonomically, if I am typing and want to quickly insert an opening and closing pair of header tags, it does not make sense to have to take my hands off the keyboard and click on a toolbar or menu item. In Blue Ice, you just type CTRL+1.
Beta Testing
I develop web pages as part of my job, and I use Blue Ice to do it. If there's a bug in the program, I'm sure to find it soon enough. If there's a need for a really useful feature, I'm sure to realize it pretty quickly. I road-test each build of the program in daily use before I upload it, so it's very reliable.
